Dianaty Leads as 79 Players Return for Day 2 of 2019 Ante Up Poker Tour Tampa Bay Downs

Anthony Dianaty

On Saturday, the final two flights in the 2019 Ante Up Poker Tour Tampa Bay Downs $250 Main Event played out. Days 1d and 1e attracted 109 and 72 entries respectively, which along with the three earlier flights brought the total up to 443 entries.

The $60,000 guaranteed prize pool was crushed. In fact, there will be $89,503 up for grabs when Day 2 resumes with 79 players on Sunday. The top 45 players will get paid a minimum of $405 while the winner will take home $19,690.

Anthony Dianaty finished the 1d flight with the chip lead (344,500), which was ahead of 1b chip leader Hyndi Khomutetsky (284,000), 1c chip leader Donald “Doc” Brown (288,000), and 1a chip leader Peter Chang (296,500). Meanwhile, the 1e chip leader was Landon Brown, who bagged 282,500, followed by Benjamin Brown with 254,000.

Landon earned most of his chips by picking off a bluff from Ab Bouanani and then eliminating Ray Lambert. Whereas Benjamin took control through the middle portion of the day, completely running over his table with pot after pot. In what may have been the largest pot of the day, Benjamin flopped a set of sevens against Bob Boyer’s ace-king on a king-high board.

Others to advance from the pair of flights were Donnie Kidman (252,500), Reggie Bautista (243,500), Larry Nerron (195,000), andLeif Oskarsson (184,000), who round out the top five.
